WHY IT LOOKS LIKE RUBY'S WEDNESDAY

Former Grand National-winning trainer Richard Newland has his biggest breakthrough since focusing more on the Flat with joint licence holder Jamie Insole when Witness Stand won a Group 2 at Goodwood, and the pair can now add a winner at York's Ebor meeting.

Their rapid three-year-old won two races in the spring and she has added three more admirable efforts, including at Royal Ascot, since being reassessed.
