Boyle: Aussie World Cup exodus proves Hibee boys are really going places

WE'VE MADE A GIANT LEAP

MARTIN BOYLE will lead an exodus of three Hibs players this week on a marathon World Cup adventure with Australia.

And he reckons that it's a measure of how highly the flying Easter Road club are viewed now as Boyle edges closer to his dream of playing at the tournament.

He netted for Hibs in the first half as David Gray's men looked certain to take a significant step nearer to cementing a third-place spot.

They were cruising, in control and should have put the struggling Ayrshire team to bed.

But they were made to regret not taking chances and pressing home their superiority as they conceded a late leveller to former Hibs player Fraser Murray.

It was the second time this season that Hibs had lost a stoppage-time equaliser at Rugby Park.

Boyle now turns his attention to international football and is set to win his 31st cap this week in Sydney as the Socceroos host Indonesia before a trip to Hangzhou to face China.

But this time he will be joined on his journey Down Under from Leith by team-mates Lewis Miller and Nectarios Triantis, with the latter poised to win his first cap.
