Ferguson hails Dane and urges Light Blues to snap up the 'difference maker'

BARRY FERGUSON has urged Rangers to push the boat out for top target Andreas Skov Olsen - even comparing the Denmark winger to “difference maker” Vaclav Cerny.

The former Ibrox interim boss delivered his verdict in an exclusive interview aired on last night's episode of our agenda-setting online show, Hotline Live.

He admits his old club dropped a huge clanger against his advice - when they failed to nail down Cerny on a permanent deal in the summer as axed sporting director Kevin.

Thelwell oversaw a major squad rebuild.

Cerny returned to German club Wolfsburg before making a £4.5million permanent move to Besiktas later in the transfer window.

Now Rangers have returned to the same Bundesliga club looking to thrash out a temporary move for Skov Olsen as owner Andrew Cavenagh tools up manager Danny Rohl for a tilt at the Premiership title.

And Ferguson believes the £12million wide man could have the same impact on the Scottish game as Czech star Cerny did during his 12 months in Glasgow.
