An ambulance crew member is accused of pocketing vulnerable OAP John's aftershave

AN AMBULANCE worker has been charged after he pocketed a bottle of aftershave from a vulnerable pensioner's home during a call-out.

Video footage captured on a security camera shows the brazen 999 crew member swiping the bottle of Joop after emergency services were called out to the home of 85-year-old John Field on April 14.

The pensioner, who has Alzheimer’s and terminal cancer, suffered a medical episode and needed to be taken to hospital.

Daughter Miranda had installed a camera at the property in Argyll and Bute to keep a watchful eye on her dad after he suffered regular falls.

She told the Record she was devastated when she watched video footage of the 999 crew attending only to see the worker slip the a bottle into his pocket.
