TESS Daly says telly legend Sir Bruce Forsyth really helped to get her Strictly career off the ground.

She said: “Bruce looked after me... he was so generous. I was no one when I started. He was a TV legend.

“Just meeting him was like being in the presence of greatness.

“He was very kind and embraced me and shared his Digestive biscuits with me when I knocked on his door.

“He used to tease me about stealing his Mars bars.

“I never saw him complain once. He was just full of energy.

“I had two babies when I worked with him and he was just like Uncle Bruce to them.”
