Jennifer McLeish performed botched cosmetic procedure at her beauty salon
THE daughter of one of Scotland's richest men has been struck off after performing a botched cosmetic procedure at her beauty salon.
Jennifer McLeish, whose dad is railway maintenance millionaire Alan McLeish, has been removed from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register following the incident at her Glasgow clinic, House of Aesthetics, in September 2019.
Her client is reported to have suffered a vascular occlusion - the blockage of an artery or vein- after undergoing a procedure with hyaluronic injections.
The complication, which can cause severe pain, occurs when blood is no longer able to pass through a blood vessel.
If left untreated, the condition can result in skin necrosis and tissue death otherwise known as gangrene.
The NMC launched a probe into McLeish's conduct following the incident. The watchdog found that prior to administration of the injections, McLeish failed to advise her patient of the risks involved.
