Sex worker probe of 13 officers & force staff

A MAJOR probe into police officers and staff allegedly making "non-legitimate" contact with sex workers has been launched.

Three people have been sacked and 10 are being investigated by a force's Anti-Corruption Unit.

The probe was triggered by Inspector Toby Knight, who scheduled hundreds of meetings with sex workers on his forceissued phone, sometimes while he was on duty.

He retired in May, the day before a gross misconduct hearing concluded had he still been serving he would have been dismissed without notice.
