Mum sets up fundraiser to help aid recovery
A BIKER has been left with a fractured spine after his new motorbike hit a pothole in a horror accident.
Kai Vaughn, from Edinburgh, was going up a blind summit before he smashed into a pothole last month.
He was rushed to hospital in Paisley where he was told he had three fractures in his spine between his shoulder blades.
The 33-year-old was transferred to the spinal ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital before returning home on Tuesday.
He has weeks of physio ahead and will spend at least seven weeks in a body brace.
His mum Lea, 54, said the incident came at such a "wrong moment in his life".
