Ketts praise for new Killie keeper

STUART KETTLEWELL lauded Max Stryjek for keeping out his old club as Killie opened up a Group H lead.

A Mo Sylla own goal in 31 minutes separated the sides in a cracking tie.

Kilmarnock held firm to give Ketts a win on his competitive Rugby Park bow as boss.

And Stryjek, who played two years for Livi between 2020 and 2022, was key to that crucial clean sheet with a trio of top stops. Kettlewell said: "You see his experience, I'm delighted with the way he played out there.

"I know through speaking to Max, he just wants to play, wants to get back out on the pitch.

"He's been involved under pressure and doing well in his career, you can see that in his performance. He's been really vibrant about the place, he's got a big personality."
