Light Blues winger Antman still believes Martin's men can turn this tle around and fulfil his career goal of facing Europe's elite

- BY ANDY NEWPORT

IT was the dream of playing Champions League football that swung it for Oliver Antman as he weighed up whether to make his move to Rangers.

And the new Ibrox ace insists he's not ready to give up on that ambition just yet.

The Finnish winger joined Gers last month in the belief linking up with Russell Martin's men could turn fantasy into reality.

But Antman and his teammates are now hanging on to hopes of appearing in UEFAs top tournament by their fingertips.

Last week's 3-1 defeat to Club Brugge hasn't just left them with a huge deficit to overturn in tonight's second leg at the Jan Breydel Stadium, it also ripped away what little confidence Gers had left after an increasingly ragged start to the season.

But Antman is still clinging to the belief Rangers can turn it all around and fulfil his huge career goal.

Asked where a win over Brugge would rank for the former Go Ahead Eagles flyer, he said: “Right at the top. I've had some big wins, like the Dutch Cup.

“But to play in the Champions League, to secure that would be a huge one. It would also be a dream come true.

“It is a big motivation. It's a big motivation for every single player here and we have a real chance.

“It’s a tough task but we can do it if we do the right things with the right energy.”

However, lately it has been anger and frustration that has been powering the increasingly irate Ibrox faithful.
