Feeder status would have been an insult to Hibs but they'll be playing second fiddle with Tony in town as gap measured in years not just points

WHILE Tony Bloom and his Jamestown Analytics gang are proving to be the new sheriffs in town with their impressive work at Tynecastle, Bill Foley and his Black Knights are riding off into the sunset.

I know the Hearts fans will be having a bit of fun with what's been going on at Easter Road this week but I'll admit I've got a bit of sympathy for the Hibs support.

Speaking as a Jambo, we've suffered enough ourselves this past decade, yo-yoing up and down between the divisions largely due to things going wrong off the pitch.

So I feel for the punters in Leith who must now be worried about what's coming next at their club. Obviously, the finances are secure with the Gordon family in charge but the American owners haven't exactly covered themselves in glory at times with their football decisions.

For me, it's impossible to build a successful team on the pitch if there is constant upheaval in the boardroom.

I saw enough of that myself working under Vladimir Romanov to know that the hot air that whips around the directors' table can often find itself blowing a cold gust through the dressing room.

Folk have looked at the success Hearts have enjoyed since Bloom's arrival and, putting two and two together, decided Hibs should have been on a similar rise with Foley's involvement.

But the two companies and their approach to the game are every bit as different as Hearts are to Hibs as clubs.
