Rory hopes Ryder Cup treatment was ‘one-off’
RORY McILROY hopes his boorish treatment at Bethpage Black was a “one-off” as he returns to the PGA Tour for the first time since the Ryder Cup.
The world No.2 and his wife Erica were targets of abuse from American fans as Europe triumphed last September.
Now after starting his season in Dubai, the Masters champ will defend the title at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am as he builds towards his Augusta defence in April.
And the popular Northern Irishman is looking forward to his usual support back in the USA.
