Slot keeps cards close to his chest

ARNE SLOT is aiming to avoid “a circus” around Mohamed Salah's Liverpool future when the Premier League champions host Brighton today.

Salah is set to return to the squad for the Anfield clash following peace talks with head coach Slot yesterday.

But the Reds boss admitted he had not enjoyed the last few days at the club after Salah conducted a bombshell interview after last Saturday's 3-3 draw at Leeds, where he claimed he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club.

Despite that outburst Slot hinted there was still a way back for Salah, claiming: “I have no reasons not to want him to stay.”
