Festivalgoers soak up sun on day one | Twin Atlantic show Palestine sup-

THOUSANDS of fans soaked up the sun yesterday as Scotland's biggest music festival got off to a blistering start.
The mercury hit 28C as Glasgow Green played host to top acts including US rap legend 50 Cent, The Script and Twin Atlantic.
Jess Maygog, 18, and her friend Amelia Woods, 18, both from Sunderland, were in the mood to party.
Amelia said: "It's out first time at TRNSMT. It'll become a yearly tradition now.
We're just on our way to the water stations to get our refillable water bottles filled because it's so hot." Jess added: "We're here to see Fontaines tomorrow and Jamie Webster today. It's amazing." Andy Dow, 39, Rab Moran, 43, and Josh English 39, all from Greenock had their "taps aff" for the weather.
Rab said: "We are here to see 50 Cent." Andy added: "I'm just back from Spain, so I am used to the heat." Adam Wray, 23, from Pollok, and Alannah Rennie, 22, Pollokshaws splashed out for a VIP tickets to enjoy the day.
