Russia strikes as Kyiv welcomes changes to pro-Kremlin US plan

KREMLIN forces launched more devastating attacks on Ukraine just hours after Kyiv welcomed major European changes to the controversial 28-point US peace plan.

Missiles smashed into dozens of residential homes in the Zaporizhzhia region, setting off blazes and injuring at least 19 civilians in revenge attacks.

It came soon after Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed much of the pro-Kremlin peace suggestions have been modified.

US President Donald Trump's 28-point plan, widely believed to have been suggested by the Kremlin, banned Nato membership and ceded territory to Russia.
