JACKSON LONGRIDGE headed in the winner that helped Morton register their first league win of the campaign at Airdrie - and spoke of his relief at getting the monkey off their backs.

Tomi Adeloye put Ton ahead when he flicked in Cameron Blues' cross but the Diamonds quickly hit back through Euan Henderson when he punished keeper James Storar for playing out from the back. Ton skipper Longridge then headed in the all-important match winner seven minutes from time. And he said: "We finished the match really strongly and it's just a relief to get that first win.
