JAMBOS KIDS GOT SIMO SEAL OF APPROVAL

SIMO VALAKARI reckons he’s landed a gem in Adam Forrester — after the young Hearts fullback left him stunned last season.

The 20-year-old has joined St Johnstone on a season-long loan after making 35 appearances in a breakout campaign at Tynecastle.

But Valakari admits he didn't believe Forrester’s age when he watched the Scotland Under-21s cap shine against Saints.

And the defender could be thrown in for a debut tonight in Dingwall as Saints look to build on last weekend’s 5-1 win over Partick Thistle.

McDiarmid Park gaffer Valakari said: “I saw Adam firsthand against us. He's got first team experience for a big club, which tells me everything. There is a lot of potential there.

“I did not believe, after seeing him against us the first time, that he was so young. He looked more mature and I loved that intensity, how he was pressing our players.
