Dee's prized asset compared to the likes of Scotland heroes McGinn and McLean

LUKE GRAHAN is now on Rangers’ radar but Dundee’s technical guru was stunned none of Scotland's top clubs came calling in January for Dens Park's prized asset.

David Longwell sees key similarities to the likes of John McGinn, Kenny McLean and Lewis Morgan - whom he helped take through at St Mirren - in defender Graham.

Dundee knocked back several bids in the last window from English Championship clubs, including a seven-figure offer from Portsmouth that would have been a club record sale for the club.

Longwell believes Graham is only getting better and there will be even more interest in him come the summer, with Rangers now watching him closely.

He told Record Sport: “Every player, at some point, has to progress in whatever that might look like.

“I was a little bit surprised that the clubs in Scotland weren't actively looking.
