THE SNP has been accused of failing to stand up for Scotland's vital defence industry as Labour claimed it was the only party creating jobs on the Clyde.
Defence Secretary John Healey confirmed the UK Government would step in and part-fund the creation of a specialist welding facility near Glasgow to support the next generation of shipbuilders.
