NHS is ready to help the child victims of Israel's war on Strip
THE first severely ill children coming from Gaza to the UK for medical treatment have arrived.
It was revealed at the weekend that the young patients had been evacuated from the enclave, where the healthcare system has been devastated.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the medical aid scheme over the summer as the Government warned most hospitals in Gaza were no longer functioning.
Yesterday, the Department of Health and Social Care confirmed 10 children have arrived in the UK for NHS help, along with 50 close family members.
The children arrived after a UN-commissioned inquiry declared this week that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
