One is locked up and two others sentenced for attacks on defenceless kids in children's homes
A FORMER nun was yesterday jailed for 15 months for force-feeding and battering young people at children's homes.
Evil Carol Buirds, 75, known as Sister Carmel Rose, was found guilty of 13 charges including assault to severe injury and causing children unnecessary suffering.
She and two other ex-nuns were sentenced yesterday after they were found guilty of subjecting multiple youngsters to cruel and unnatural treatment between 1972 and 1981.
It took place at two homes, in Lasswade in Midlothian and Kilmarnock, run by the Catholic order The Sisters of Nazareth.
