FESTIVE cheer is pretty thin on the ground in Dingwall as Ross County face the harrowing prospect of successive relegations.

The Staggies were favourites to win the Championship before a ball was kicked after losing to Livingston in the playoff final in May.

But they got off to a slow start and have now sacked two managers as their season stumbles from one crisis to another.

Tony Docherty looked like a decent appointment when he took the reins from Don Cowie but the former Dundee boss had a horror reign in the Highlands.

Last week's 6-0 loss to Raith was the final straw and John Robertson is now in interim change as the club look for a new boss.
