“Cool Hand” and his rivals face a first-ever PDC tournament in Saudi Arabia today with a £75,000 arrow in their grasp.

Humphries will feature among the stars who could win an astonishing £150,000 if they produce perfection in Riyadh.

To mark the inaugural event in the Kingdom, any player who bags a nine-darter will get £75,000.

But in an added twist, they will then be handed a bonus dart to hit the bullseye and double that prize.

Humphries said: “It's a lot of excitement.
