Who will be the next arrival as the Toffees seek to strengthen?

IF it's any consolation, David Moyes will be feeling the same. After all, the Everton boss made it clear after each of the signings he has made so far this summer that more new faces are needed and more will be on the way.

Who will be the next arrival as the Toffees seek to strengthen?

But one look at the threadbare squads that Moyes was able to name for the 1-1 draw at Accrington Stanley and the 1-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers offered a stark reminder there's plenty to be done in the transfer market yet.

That's not to say good work has not been done.

The £15million Carlos Alcaraz and the £27m Thierno Barry are exciting arrivals while £5m Mark Travers showed why he will be an able deputy to Jordan Pickford with an assured display on his unofficial debut at Ewood Park at the weekend.

Tying the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gueye to new contracts was also paramount.

But, with a number of experienced first-team players having left, there is a realisation that more business needs to be done before the Premier League campaign kicks off at Leeds United in just under four weeks' time.

It will not be for the lack of trying and Everton continue to be regular features in the transfer gossip columns.

So, as we await summer signing number four, here we take a look at the latest speculation.

ASHLEY YOUNG MOVE

Of the players to leave the club, perhaps the most surprising departure was Ashley Young.
