29-YEAR-OLD ADDED TO POLICE BARRED LIST AFTER PANEL HEARD CLAIMS SHE DRUNKENLY GROPED TWO COLLEAGUES
PC Pamela Pritchard has been sacked for gross misconduct
A POLICEWOMAN accused of drunkenly groping two fellow officers at another colleague's leaving do was sacked yesterday after being found guilty of gross misconduct. Off-duty North Wales PC Pamela Pritchard, 29, had “twerked” on the dance floor at Caernarfon rugby club and allegedly squeezed a colleague’s breasts from behind her, a misconduct hearing at Colwyn Bay was told.
PC Pritchard had worked a few months at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham before joining the police. She was said to be “mortified” by her behaviour in March last year and denied any sexual intent.
She was accused of being “flirty” and twice groping a policeman, and kissing him - and trying to kiss an inspector.
The force's assistant chief constable Chris Allsop said after a four-day hearing: “The conduct is of a level that could justify dismissal and is therefore at the level of gross misconduct.”
