'Toxicity' alert after dog's death at beauty spot lagoon

DOG owners are being warned to “keep their eyes peeled” at a popular beauty spot after a dog died in mysterious circumstances.
“Suspected toxicity” is being blamed for the death of a dog at the site near Tywyn, Gwynedd.
Vets believe the young dog died after “eating or being exposed to something poisonous”
It’s thought the “very sad” case may have followed a visit to the Broadwater, a saltwater lagoon two miles from Tywyn that formed when the Dysynni estuary silted up in the 19th century.
The 650-acre spot is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with dune grassland and salt marsh bordering the lagoon. Popular with bird watchers, its paths also attract walkers and dog owners.
