Swimmer's late night dip sparks emergency response

A SWIMMER who took a late night dip sparked a major emergency response last night.
Police, the Coastguard, an RNLI life boat and a rescue helicopter were scrambled to the scene, after reports of a person in the water, near Conwy bridge.
However after an hour of search and investigation, it was established the person had got out of the water on their own safely.
A Coastguard spokesperson said it was a "false alarm".
