Suspended jail term for woman who falsely claimed to be driver in crash

A Wrexham woman who gave false information on a police form following a car crash has been sentenced for doing an act intending to pervert the course of justice.

Danuta Czajk, 45, was the passenger in a VW Transporter which reversed into another vehicle on December 10, 2024. The VW Transporter was being driven by a male.

North Wales Police were contacted by the driver of the vehicle which was hit, who described the male driver and female passenger of the VW Transporter, providing the police with a photograph of the pair.

At the time, the unknown male driver had refused to provide his details to the motorist.
