The former Shell oil tank site has been bought for £18m
GIANT former industrial site on Anglesey has been sold in an £18m deal. Conygar Investment Company announced that it has exchanged contracts to sell its 203 acre brownfield land holding at Rhosgoch.
The site had once been owned by Shell (UK) and was a tank farm for its oil terminal in Amlwch.
Shell closed the terminal and tank site in 1990 due to a decline in the use of large crude oil tankers and set up a legacy fund.
It led to the establishment of the Isle of the Anglesey Charitable Trust - managed by trustees from Anglesey council.
