'Serious disorder' breaks out in town after football match

VIDEO footage has captured the moment “serious disorder” broke out on the streets of Llandudno following a football match.

Police are seen grappling with football fans in broad daylight as chaos erupted in the town centre.In the footage, a man is seen being dragged to the floor by cops, while a crowd gathers around the officers. In another piece of footage, an officer draws his Taser in a bid to keep people away from him and a colleague.

North Wales Police said five people were arrested following the ugly scenes on Saturday afternoon. “Disorder” broke out following a Welsh Cup semi final match between Bangor City 1876 and Flint Town United.

The match, which the FAW said took place without incident, was held at Llandudno's Maesdu Park and saw Flint record a 5-1 victory over Bangor.

Police said “serious disorder” began shortly before 4pm on Saturday, and involved “a large number of people outside the Nevill public house” in the town.
