School attendance rises as prosecutions for absence are down

SCHOOL attendance in Wrexham is slowly improving as parental prosecutions plummet.

That is one of the key findings of the latest attendance and exclusions report of Wrexham County Borough Council’s Education Department to the Lifelong Learning Scrutiny Committee.
Overall attendance for pupils aged five-15 has risen slightly from around 90% for the past two years to 91.3% in 2024/25.
