Reynolds talks with Parkinson amid speculation over future

WREXHAM chief executive Michael Williamson has disclosed that Ryan Reynolds held a private meeting with Phil Parkinson amidst speculation surrounding the manager's future.

The Red Dragons endured a sluggish start to their Championship season this term following three successive promotions under the ex-Bradford and Sunderland boss. Tension mounted during Wrexham's 3-1 home loss to QPR in September, with Reynolds, who jointly owns the club alongside fellow actor Rob Mac, observing from the stands.

Reports surfaced suggesting discussions took place regarding Parkinson's role after the North Wales side suffered defeat in three of their initial five league matches, leaving them languishing in the relegation zone. The rumours were subsequently denied by Wrexham's non-executive director Shaun Harvey, who described the claims as "an absolute disgrace".
