PHIL PARKINSON has been warned that “vultures will be circling” to take his job following Wrexham’s poor start to the season.

The Red Dragons currently sit 21st in the Championship table, just one point above the relegation zone, in their first campaign in the second tier for 43 years.

Parkinson’s side have picked up just four points from their opening five matches this term, despite spending around £33million on signing 13 new players during the summer transfer window.

Reports emerged last weekend claiming that talks have already been held amongst the club's hierarchy over the manager's future.

However, Wrexham director Shaun Harvey later dismissed the speculation as “nonsense”.
