NICO O'REILLY has insisted he never entertained thoughts of leaving Manchester City before signing a new five-year deal this week.
The City academy graduate was a transfer target for Chelsea in January while the list of potential suitors grew in the summer as Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon and Leeds were linked with the 20-year-old, but the new contract announced on Friday will end speculation about his future.
“There were a few rumours, but my heart’s always set on City,” O'Reilly said.
“I’m just happy it’s done now and I can’t wait for what's to come.”
