Mystery as loud 'bang' is heard in town

MYSTERY surrounds a sudden “bang” heard in a Gwynedd town. Witnesses reported hearing the unexplained sound in the Pwilheli area at about 1.30pm yesterday.
However, no-one has been able to provide a definitive explanation for what the sound could have been.
The Daily Post contacted a number of official bodies but none could shed any light on the situation.
A HM Coastguard spokesman said: “It was nothing to do with us, or our response.”
Likewise a spokesman at RAF Valley said he had checked with its Operations Team and there was nothing to report from RAF Valley.
