A 30-YEAR-OLD man from North Wales has died whilst serving a prison sentence following a knife attack in which the victim had part of his ear bitten off.

Elfed Jones, from Bangor in Gwynedd, was pronounced dead on January 26 at HMP Wymott in Lancashire.

Jones had been sentenced to nine years behind bars in 2020 after admitting wounding with intent at Mold Crown Court.
