Keane is unsure if he has future with the Toffees

MICHAEL KEANE says he remains in the dark about whether he will still be an Everton player next season.

- By CHRIS BEESLEY

The centre-back has been with the Blues for almost eight years since his £25million move from Burnley in July 2017.

But despite netting his 16th goal for the club on Saturday, his 228th appearance was a first Premier League start in over six months.

Keane's current contract expires this summer and asked what he was hoping for now, he said: “I don’t know, honestly. I've not had any conversations about it yet.

“We'll see what happens in the summer. This is my eighth year here and I've loved it.

“It's obviously been up and down, but I love the club, and I love playing for Everton, so I'm just glad I got to show what I can do, and we'll see what happens.”
