It's an August heat record as N.Wales basks in the last blast of a scorching summer

NORTH Wales was packed yesterday as Wales enjoyed its hottest August bank holiday on record.
Beaches were busy and roads jammed as people enjoyed a glorious day of sunshine before the onset of meteorological autumn later this week.
It was the last blast of summer as the remnants of Hurricane Erin is set to bring cooler and more disturbed weather to the region from today.
Hawarden in Flintshire recorded 29.6C yesterday - the highest temperature in Wales on an August bank holiday.
As many flocked to the coast to soak up the sun, others who had been enjoying stays in North Wales began the trek home and that led to jams on the A55 and other roads in the region.
A Met Office forecast for Wales said: "Tuesday: A much fresher day is expected with a west to southwesterly breeze and a mix of sunshine and scattered showers.
