Harvey hints his future could lie away from Reds

HARVEY ELLIOTT has hinted his long-term future may lie away from Liverpool as the midfielder insisted: "I just need to do what's best for my career.

Elliott was handed just his second Premier League start under Arne Slot on Monday as the Reds crashed to a 3-2 defeat to Brighton in a game that saw the 22-year-old open the scoring.

His only other start came in the 3-1 loss at Chelsea earlier this month and the former Fulham youngster admitted it was tough being overlooked by the head coach.
