Funding to map truck stops after Morrisons lorry ban

THE Welsh Government has ordered action to tackle a trucker crisis that's forced one supermarket to ban HGVs.

The Daily Post reported earlier this month that Morrisons had taken action to ban lorries from its car park in Holyhead.

The closure of the Roadking truck-stop facility on Parc Cybi to make way for a customs facility to deal with Brexit red tape has left a shortage of suitable facilities in the town, which houses the second busiest roll-on, roll-off port in the UK.

It has meant lorry drivers have been forced to find makeshift sites, with the Morrisons car park one such location.
