SCHOOL transport across the UK is at risk because of “unsustainable” fuel bills, the Government has been warned.

Industry body the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) said the typical cost of diesel for coach operators has risen by 30% since the start of the Iran oil crisis.

More than 600,000 children in the UK travel to and from school by coach every day, according to the CPT.
