JEREMIE FRIMPONG has revealed he is happy to play anywhere for Liverpool as long as he is fielded out wide.

- By THEO SQUIRES

The Netherlands international from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer after the Premier League champions activated a £29.5million release clause in his contract.

The 25-year-old's season with Liverpool has been derailed by two separate hamstring injuries, but the Dutchman has been in impressive form since his comeback last month.

Frimpong's game-time has been split between right-back and right-wing since joining the Reds, finding himself predominantly utilised in a more advanced role in recent weeks while Mohamed Salah was at the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, with the Egyptian set to return next week and Conor Bradley ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a knee injury, Frimpong is likely to be needed more at right-back.
