Ex-pro boxer smashed glass into man's face in unprovoked attack

AN ex-professional boxer smashed a glass into a man's face in an unprovoked attack at a Caernarfon pub. After Anthony Wright attacked Bahez Hamas Rasul, the defendant said: "You deserved that you f*****g b*****d.

Mr Rasul had to be taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and has been left with a scar on his lip. A sentencing hearing at Mold Crown Court was also told the victim has not been out since and was afraid something similar may happen again.

Wright, 40, of Vance Road, Blackpool, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent on Mr Rasul following the attack, which happened in the beer garden of the Morgan Lloyd pub, in Caernarfon, on the night of October 5, 2022.
