Decision 'very close' in probe into death of woman at hotel

A DECISION is "very close" in a probe into the death of a North Wales woman crushed by a wardrobe at a hotel.

Chloe Haynes, 21, died when the piece of furniture fell onto her at Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel in September 2022.

At the time of her death, Chloe's mum Nicola Williams, from Wrexham, said her daughter was "kind and caring" and had been "living her best life" before it was tragically cut short.

She had travelled to Liverpool from Hafan y Mor Haven Holiday Park in Pwllheli, where she worked, before the tragedy happened.

After her death, Liverpool City Council's Environmental Health department launched an investigation into the hotel.

Sources stated at the time that a criminal prosecution was a possibility.

In a new update, the city council suggested this investigation is nearing its conclusion.
