Councillor under fire for eating at Foden debate

A COUNCILLOR has been accused of being “disrespectful” to the victims of paedophile headteacher Neil Foden after he began eating during a council discussion about the crimes.

Neil Foden, the former headteacher of Ysgol Friars in Bangor and strategic head of Ysgol Dyfiryn Nantlle, managed to evade repercussions for his crimes for years despite numerous concerns and 52 missed chances to stop him.

These were underscored in a scathing report following a Child Practice Review. It finally ended in 2023 when a child made a disclosure and Foden was arrested, reports Wales Online.

Last year, he received a 17-year prison sentence after being found guilty of 19 charges involving four girls. Cambridge-based abuse law specialist Andrew Grove and Co Solicitors is taking legal action against the council on behalf of 22 victims aged between 15 and 58.
