Building work set to restart on Starbucks that's been left unfinished

THE mystery over why a Starbucks has been “built and left” has been solved after the franchise holder developing the site came forward.

Gastronomy Foods secured planning in 2021 on appeal for a Starbucks and KFC on the A55.
They were to be sited next to the McDonald's restaurant at the Singing Kettle services near Holywell and Caerwys. Work started on the new drive-thru Starbucks earlier this year. It looked to have been finished over the summer with everything in place and workers leaving the site. But the Starbucks didn't open - prompting questions and numerous theories on what had happened.
