Bellamy is urging Wrexham to produce more Welsh players

Craig Bellamy has made a request for Wrexham to produce more players for Wales after the club was represented in the national team for the first time in 15 years.
Three players from the North Wales side were named in the manager's 25-man squad for yesterday's World Cup qualifier in Kazakhstan when it was announced last week. Danny Ward, Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead all received call-ups after joining Wrexham during the summer transfer window following their third consecutive promotion to the Championship.
The trio were brought in as part of a £33million spending spree by the Red Dragons, backed by their Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac. Ward and Broadhead have since been forced to pull out of the Wales squad through injury, but Moore could still feature in Astana.
The 33-year-old striker scored as Wrexham registered their first win in the second tier with a 2-0 victory at Millwall last weekend. Bellamy believes the club's rise under the celebrity owners has already had a positive impact on Welsh football and the country as a whole.
