ARMED POLICE CALLED TO SCHOOL 'DISORDER'

POLICE have released an update after "disorder" at a high school, which saw armed officers called to the scene.

Police were called to Rhyl High School on Thursday afternoon following "an issue between a very small group of pupils, with a larger crowd of onlookers".

A North Wales Police statement said: "We were called shortly after 3pm yesterday (Thursday) to report an incident of disorder involving youths outside Rhyl High School.

"Officers attended the school, which resulted in the youths being removed from the area.

"Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and there will be an increased police presence in the area today for reassurance purposes."
