Council purchases car park and will knock it down to redevelop the site to enhance city centre

A MULTI-storey car park has been bought by a North Wales council with plans to demolish and redevelop the site. Wrexham Council has secured the purchase of St Mark’s Car Park.

The building is located just off Regent Street, near Island Green. It was a privately run multi-storey car park until its closure in 2020.

The council’s aim is to redevelop the site to create better public access between Island Green, Regent Street and King Street and to provide a facility for visiting coaches.
