MAX Verstappen won an Ital- ian Grand Prix typically full of drama and incident, marked by record-breaking speed and another stroke of misfortune for Lando Norris.

Temple of record speed

Monza lived up to its billing as the “Temple of Speed”, with Sunday’s race officially the fastest in F1 history. Verstappen took the chequered flag in one hour, 13 minutes and 24.325 seconds.

The Dutchman also smashed the all-time lap record in Saturday's qualifying, just moments after Norris looked to have snatched pole with what would itself have been a record lap.
